Come along with us on Our Journey…and so it begins…slow at first, but oh Boy… what a RIDE it’ll be, Paul McCartney – The Long And Winding Road. 

So, ok, here’s the story:  It’s May 11, 2014, Mother’s Day…I’m an aunt, a great aunt, A fun aunt…but not a mother Pink Floyd – Mother - 2011 - Remaster, (Sigmund shush). Husband, since 1981, met in 1979, actually on March 3^rd…my birthday is March 13 and his is March 31…and no, 3’s are not a lucky number for us…hum.  But we are still together after all these years Peaches & Herb – We're Still Together…and his mother said it wouldn’t last…ok, seriously, you will find you will not know if I’m kidding or serious and you won’t know b/c, well, I’m the author. 

So fast forward…for those who don’t know me, (and if you do, go to the bathroom or turn on the news and get pissed at the government or something meaningful).  Jim and I are both native Californians, Joni Mitchell – California, but don’t hold that against me…we come from the old school before the state got so liberal and we had republican’s running the state, ie, Ronald Reagan, the Duke, Pete Wilson…who else?  And now we have Jerry doing a lousy job (Again)! Not good the 1^st time… but these are our new voters living here now…Ok, I’ll stop and if you’re a democrat…well thanks for stopping by!  No, no I promise this is the last time I bring up politics but I had to let you know of where I come from.  And no, this is not why I left CA!

So still fast forwarding b/c I didn’t say anything in the above paragraph, heck yes I did and Fox would be proud!  I’m from Ventura, CA, born and raised, The Beach Boys – Surfin' U.S.A. - 2001 - Remaster…didn’t leave until I met my husband in 1979, then we moved to…(and this is a big move too) CAMARILLO!  Where we actually met at a wedding of a friend, Noel Paul Stookey – Wedding Song (There Is Love) - Remastered, (This Song was sang at our Wedding on August 15, 1981 by a wonderful guitarist/Vocalist…BTW, my Mom wanted the “Wedding March”, but later told me she loved this more than her pick…meant a lot to me that she said that!) but not really my friend (well kind of) but Jim’s and my best friend, Laura and her husband Larry who convinced me to go with her b/c her husband was in the wedding party and she didn’t want to sit in the “audience” alone…well, I’m not one to “crash” a wedding but she finally convinced me to go with her after several back and forths…there is where I met my now “Better half”, but remember my start of this blog…not always “Better half”! We sold our home in Central CA and did pretty good, which enabled us to do what we’re doing now.  We still have our house in Southern CA…in the O.C. which will further help us fund this crazy thing.  I told my sister-in-law today that I wished I had stock in Post-It-Notes b/c that is my new brain…so this new adventure, well, where’s my note saying who’s idea this was???   We bought a brand new 5^th wheel trailer to attach to our Ford F250 and we’re headin’ East to find our forever place…where we will lay our heads, where we can live economically enabling us to pay more taxes (opps), live out our lives and live happily ever after…toto, toto, where are you, toto?  Toto – Hold the Line,  Oh, BTW…my name IS Dorothy…nice to meet’cha! We are currently in Roseburg, OR where we are staying at an RV Park near Winston, and about 12 miles south of Roseburg.  My niece and her husband live in Roseburg and have helped us considerably during our transition.  Thank you…we love you!

So, we decided to hang around here for a couple reasons…1.  To live in the “Dragon” (that’s my name for the 5^th) Peter, Paul and Mary – Puff, The Magic Dragon - Remastered, so if we do have some warranty issues we are close enough to take them to a dealer to have them repaired…2.  We will be driving over the mountains and roads that are not passable right now due to snow and we’re not all that experienced towing the Dragon…now, Jim does have a lot of experience towing large boats so he really does know what he’s doing…well, maybe…on a good day…If we don’t run out of “Post-It-Notes!”

So, I start out every new subject saying “So”….So, it rains here a lot in Oregon…Phil Collins – I Wish It Would Rain Down. No Phil, I Wish It Would Not Rain Down!!!  If you’re a FB friend, you will know that by my posts…if you’re not…IT RAINS…again, RAINS HERE A LOT!!!  Hence the Irish/Scottish like look in the geography!!  Morgenrot World Music – All For Me Grog. *Note to self...save money and don't fly to Scotland...fly to Oregon instead. I also notice, there are no planes, or helicopters flying overhead and making all kinds of noise…just chickens bocking…bock, bock…bock…oh, that reminds me, I think I’ll fix chicken cacciatore tonight for dinner! http://allrecipes.com/recipe/moms-chicken-cacciatore.  So, ok, now you kinda get me Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes – If You Don't Know Me by Now …you get the idea I love music, food, travel and my opinions…haha…and I’m happy to give you examples of my feelings at the time…(SO) here we go.  Let me just say that I am going to (try) and not edit myself…I’m saying everything as it is from my point of view…Neil Diamond – I Am...I Said.)
